PSA Oxygen Plant is used for producing oxygen on-site from the air by a process known as Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA). The PSA system consists of 2 identical twin vessels, each containing Zeolite Molecular Sieves; a Compressor, and Control Panel to control the operation of the system. In one vessel, the air is compressed and passed through the Molecular Sieve at a pressure ranging from 60 100 bar. Under these conditions, the air enters the PSA system, first into the adsorption column (left side), where nitrogen is adsorbed by the molecular sieve at high pressure and the remaining oxygen-rich gas flows to the second tower (right side), where it gets further enriched and pure Oxygen goes to storage cylinders and then to end-use application.
Applications
Oxygen is used in a variety of different industries, including medical, glass, pulp and paper, chemical, metalworking, marine, environmental, and other industrial applications.
The medical industry uses oxygen for various purposes, including breathing gas for patients who cannot breathe on their own and helping burn victims heal by delivering oxygen directly to the wound area.
Benefits
PSA oxygen generators are a cost-effective alternative to the purchase of liquid & cylinder oxygen because they produce oxygen directly from compressed air with up to 93 +/- 3 % purity.
The most important advantages of using the PSA plant are the investment costs and operating costs which compared with other conventional methods can be reduced by 25 to 60%.
Oxygen is produced directly from compressed air and is delivered directly on demand to your facility without the need for storage, distribution, or cylinder handling.
Provides a reliable supply of oxygen at all times regardless of external factors such as weather conditions, fuel price increases, or transport strikes.
